The house sits on an acre where in the gardens you may be lucky enough to meet one or two of the inhabitants; Galloper the miniature horse, who sometimes gets mistaken for a My Little Pony, or the abundance of birds passing through, magpies, parrots, cockatoos and many more. You will find Cockatoo House a very friendly relaxed place to be with a country aspect and artistic inspiration, suitably placed to easily access the variety of local activities in the area. Healesville Sanctuary is a four km drive, Tarrawarra Art Museum is a ten minute drive, visit the national parks or visit some of the many Yarra Valley wineries as well as many other attractions.
